A Community That Gives Back
Colorado Builders Come Through Again at the Annual Déjà vu Rendezvous
May 27, 2026
On May 15, Colorado’s construction community gathered for the Annual Déjà vu Rendezvous and once again, they showed up in a big way.
This year’s event raised $315,312 for Coloradans living with disabilities who use assistive technology. Net proceeds support the work of the Center for Innovative Design and Engineering (CIDE) at the University of Colorado, where that funding is turned into real, life-changing technology services for individuals and families across the state.
That work takes many forms. CIDE’s clinical team evaluates individuals and matches them with the assistive technology that fits their specific needs — whether that’s a communication device for a child who can’t yet speak, specialized seating and mobility equipment, or software that makes a computer accessible to someone with limited hand movement. Beyond clinical services, CIDE supports families and caregivers through outreach and education, advances the field through research and engineering, and works with industry partners to push accessibility innovation forward. Since 1989, CIDE has provided assistive technology services to more than three million people worldwide.
The Déjà vu Rendezvous has become more than an industry event — it’s a tradition of generosity. Year after year, builders, contractors, and industry leaders come together not just to celebrate the construction community, but to invest in the people their work ultimately serves.
CIDE is grateful for every person who attended, sponsored, donated, and cheered on this year’s event. Your commitment makes it possible for us to keep doing what we do: empowering individuals with disabilities to achieve their highest potential through technology.
