Program options include open study and research on the participant’s chosen topic, English-language teaching, and special programs such as Fulbright-Fogarty Fellowships in Public Health and the Fulbright-National Geographic Award.

In recent years, CU Denver students have been awarded Fulbright awards on topics such as study and research in education and human development (in Nepal), mathematics (in Brazil), Spanish and linguistics (in Mexico), international relations and public affairs (in Spain), integrative biology (in Poland), and economics (in The Netherlands).
