International College Beijing Celebrates the Class of 2026
Spring 2026 graduates of International College Beijing (ICB) and their families celebrated commencement earlier this month at a ceremony in Beijing, China. ICB graduates earn a bachelor of arts from CU Denver with a major in either economics or communication. Courses are taught by CU Denver faculty on the China Agricultural University campus in Beijing. ICB students have the opportunity to study at CU Denver’s campus for their third and fourth year. In total, 202 students graduated from the program this year, 23 in Denver and 179 at the ceremony in Beijing.
CU Denver Vice Chancellor for Strategic Enrollment and Student Success (SESS) Zina Evans, PhD, attended ICB’s commencement ceremony and shared words of congratulations and inspiration. “Part of a degree’s value is in preparing you for your career. It also unlocks a lifetime of learning, growing, and advancing,” Evans said. “Your degree serves as a strong foundation for your future, as you build upon it and evolve through your continued curiosity and drive. We see this mindset in so many of our successful ICB graduates.”
ICB was one of the first partnerships of its kind to be approved by the Chinese Ministry of Education and is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. This College of Liberal Arts and Sciences program has existed for more than 30 years and has earned a solid reputation for its rigor and the rewarding experience it offers its students. Since 2011, more than 196 ICB students have received scholarships totaling more than $300,000. “ICB alumni emerge well prepared for today’s rapidly evolving global environments, shaping industries, communities, and nations,” Evans said. “They join thousands of ICB alumni as the next generation of global innovators, communicators, policy makers, and leaders.”
